Samsung has released the August 2024 security update to the Galaxy A33 in some countries. The new security update was detailed last week, and Samsung’s smartphones started getting it a few days ago.
Galaxy A33 August 2024 update debuts in Latin America
The latest Galaxy A33 update is available in Brazil (and probably other Latin American countries) with firmware version A336MUBSAEXF2. It is a 275MB update that brings the August 2024 security patch, which fixes 50 security vulnerabilities that were discovered in the previous software version.
If you have a Galaxy A33 and live in Latin America, you can check for the new update on your device right now. To do that, navigate to Settings » Software update and tap Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually using Samsung's Odin tool on a Windows PC.
Samsung launched the Galaxy A33 in 2022 with Android 12 and One UI 4.0. The device received the Android 13 update in late 2022 and the Android 14 update in late 2023. It will likely get the Android 15 and One UI 7.0 update in the next few months.
