Samsung has released the May 2023 security update to one more mid-range smartphone released this year: Galaxy A34 5G. Two variants of the smartphone have started getting the new security update: SM-A346B and SM-A346E.
The device is getting updated in African, Asian, and European countries.
Where has Galaxy A34 5G received May 2023 security update?
The latest software update for the Galaxy A34 5G comes with firmware version A346BXXU2AWE2 in Europe. In Africa and Asia, the phone is getting updated with firmware version A346EXXU2AWE2 in some countries. Those Asian countries include Afghanistan, Egypt, Iraq, Israel, Kenya, Lebanon, Morocco, Nigeria, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Tunisia, and Turkey. Other countries and regions will get the update within the next few days.
If you have a Galaxy A34 5G and live in any of the countries or regions mentioned above, you can download the new update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. Alternatively, you can manually flash the new firmware after downloading the firmware file from our database. Use a Windows PC and the Odin tool for the manual firmware flashing process.
Samsung launched the Galaxy A34 5G earlier this year with Android 13-based One UI 5 onboard. The smartphone will get four major Android OS updates and five years of security updates. Its first major update with arrive later this year in the form of Android 14-based One UI 6.0.
