Alleged European prices for the upcoming Galaxy A34 and Galaxy A54 indicate that the 2023 models may be more expensive than their predecessors. However, according to a new rumor concerning Indonesia, Samsung may release its two new mid-range phones for a much lower price.
Assuming the pricing rumor is accurate, the Galaxy A34 with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage will cost Rp 4,999,000 ($323) in Indonesia. The same device but with 256GB of storage might set customers back Rp 5,499,000 ($355).
As for the more powerful Galaxy A54 5G, prices for Indonesia are likewise lower than the alleged European prices. The Galaxy A54 5G with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage will supposedly cost Rp 5,999,000 ($388), whereas the 256GB variant may cost Rp 6,499,000 ($420).
Comparatively, the Galaxy A34 5G in Europe may start at €399, whereas the Galaxy A54 5G could start at roughly €499 for the base model or €549 for the 256GB variant. Meanwhile, prices for India might be higher than usual — by around 15%.
If all these rumors are true, Samsung will release the Galaxy A34 and Galaxy A54 for prices that vary considerably depending on each region. The Korean giant may unveil the two upcoming Galaxy A phones next week on March 16. A leaked slide for the Galaxy A54 indicates that the phone will boast a “pro-grade camera,” which could mean great performance in low-light conditions.
Official Galaxy A34 and Galaxy A54 wallpapers have already leaked online and are available for download. The A34 should be available in black, lavender, lime green, and a gradient silver color that resembles Samsung's old Aura Glow for the Galaxy Note 10, except it's not as glossy.
The Galaxy A54 should be released in black, lavender, lime green, and white. The lower-cost A34 should feature a MediaTek Dimensity 900 SoC, whereas the Galaxy A54 will supposedly be powered by the Exynos 1380 SoC.
