Like the Galaxy A53, another mid-range Galaxy A smartphone is making the jump to the April 2024 security update today. Samsung has released the April update for the Galaxy A34, the predecessor to the new Galaxy A35.
European Galaxy A34 users are the first to get this update, as has been the case with security updates for most devices in recent weeks. A34 owners in other markets may have to wait a week or two before they can download the same update.
The April update sports the build number A346BXXS6BXD1 and only brings the latest security patch. This patch includes nearly 30 security fixes for the Android OS and 15+ fixes for security vulnerabilities only found on Samsung Galaxy smartphones and tablets.
While this update is as boring as they come, the next update for Galaxy A34 users could bring a newer version of One UI. One UI 6.1 has been released for a few flagship Galaxy smartphones since late March, and Samsung will start bringing it to more devices sometime next month.
To download the April security update on your phone, navigate to its Settings » Software update menu and tap Download and install, or go to our archives, download the latest firmware, and install it on your phone using a Windows PC and a USB-C cable.
