Last week, Samsung started rolling out the February 2022 security update, and the Galaxy Note 20 series was the first to get it. Now, the South Korean firm has released the update to one more Galaxy smartphone, the Galaxy A50s.
Although the Galaxy A50s is still running Android 11, it has received the latest Android security patch. The newest software update for the device comes with A507FNXXU6DVA2, and it has been released in Vietnam. Samsung hasn't published which privacy and security vulnerabilities it has fixed with the February 2022 security patch, but we expect that to be revealed within the next couple of weeks.
If you are a Galaxy A50s user in Vietnam, you might have received a notification of the new update. If you haven't received it already, you can manually check for the update by heading over to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our database and flash it manually.
Samsung had launched the Galaxy A50s in mid-2019 with Android 9 on board. The smartphone received two major Android OS updates: Android 10 and Android 11. It won't get the Android 12 update, but the South Korean firm will continue to release security updates to the mid-range smartphone.
