Samsung has released the February 2024 security update to two mid-range smartphones: Galaxy A51 5G and Galaxy A53. Earlier today, the Galaxy A71 5G received the same security update. It looks like a lot of mid-range smartphones will get the February 2024 security update in the coming days.

The latest software update for the Galaxy A51 5G is available across Europe, and it comes bearing firmware version A516BXXS8FXA1. The new security update for the Galaxy A53 has firmware version A536EXXS8DXA8, and it is available in Afghanistan, Egypt, Iraq, Kenya, Morocco, Nigeria, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, the Caucasus region, the UAE, Tunisia, Turkey, and Ukraine.
The February 2024 security update brings fixes for 72 security flaws found in the previous version of software on the Galaxy A51 5G and the Galaxy A53. Since the new updates only contain the new security patches, their download sizes are relatively small. You can check for the new update on your Galaxy A51 5G and Galaxy A53 by opening the Settings app and navigating to Software update » Download and install. Samsung launched the Galaxy A51 5G in early 2020 with Android 10 onboard, and it received the Android 11 update in late 2020, the Android 12 update in late 2021, and the Android 13 update in late 2022.
