The global version of the Galaxy A52 5G (SM-526B) received the Android 13 update along with One UI 5.0 customization last month. Today, Samsung is rolling out the same software update to the carrier-locked version of the Galaxy A52 5G in the US.
The software update comes with firmware version A526USQU7DVK3, and it is being rolled out to the carrier-locked version of the Galaxy A52 5G on Comcast's network in the US. The update brings Android 13 and One UI 5.0 customizations. The carrier-locked variants of the Galaxy A52 5G that are on other networks should also get the update very soon.
The update, however, lacks the December 2022 security patch that is currently rolling out. Instead, it carries over the November 2022 security patch that was available in the previous update.
Galaxy A52 5G Android 13: How to install the update?
Your Galaxy A52 5G should show you a notification about the availability of the new firmware. However, if you haven’t received the notification, you can check for the update manually by going to Settings » Software Update and clicking on the Download and install button. You can also download the firmware from our database and flash it manually.
The Galaxy A52 5G was launched last year with Android 11 and One UI 3.1 onboard. So far, all the variants of the Galaxy A52 (4G and 5G) have received the Android 13 update, except for the carrier-unlocked version of the smartphone in the US. You can expect the carrier-unlocked version to get the update by the end of this month.
