Samsung continues to impress with its handling of the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update for Galaxy devices. One UI 6 is now making its way to the Galaxy A52 5G, a few days after it was released for the Galaxy A52s.
European customers are the first to get access to the stable One UI 6 firmware for the Galaxy A52 5G, and fingers crossed that A52 5G owners in other markets won't have to wait too long to join the party. Hopefully, the standard Galaxy A52 will also get the update soon.
Android 14 is the final Android version update for the Galaxy A52, A52 5G, and A52s, but the three handsets are likely to get One UI 6.1 next year before Samsung stops releasing major OS upgrades for them.
One UI 6 brings numerous UI improvements, such as a redesigned Quick Panel, improved album art display in the notification shade, notification sorting by time, simplified home screen icon labels, clock repositioning on the lock screen, a more detailed weather widget, and easier access to battery settings.
New features include home screen camera widgets, two-handed drag and drop of files and media between apps, enhanced photo and video editing tools, new accessibility options, improved security with the Auto Blocker feature, one-time password support for mobile hotspot, and many more.
The Android 14/One UI 6 update for the Galaxy A52 5G is available over the air and can be downloaded from the phone's Settings » Software update menu. It may not be immediately available for everyone, but that shouldn't be the case for long.
