The Galaxy A52 was one of the first devices to which Samsung rolled out the August 2024 security patch. Now, the company is releasing the latest security update to the phone’s 5G version, the Galaxy A52 5G.
Currently, Samsung is rolling out the update to the carrier-locked variant of the device for the United States, which has the model number SM-A526U. Samsung’s August 2024 security patch brings fixes for 50 security issues.
The latest firmware carries version A526USQUEGXG4. Once Samsung makes it available for your device, your phone will notify you about it. If you don’t want to wait for that, go to Settings » Software update » Download and install to get it. Alternatively, you can also download it from our firmware section and install it using Odin.

Samsung should soon make the August 2024 security patch available for the carrier-unlocked and international variants of the Galaxy A52 5G. On a related note, the phone isn’t eligible to get major OS upgrades anymore, which means that Samsung will neither release One UI 6.1.1 nor Android 15-based One UI 7.0 to the device.
