Samsung had launched the Galaxy A52 and the Galaxy A72 in India two months ago. Since India doesn't have any 5G network coverage yet, it was logical for the company to not launch the Galaxy A52 5G in the country. However, India's first mid-range Galaxy smartphone with 5G connectivity, the Galaxy M42 5G, was launched last month.
The company could soon launch the Galaxy A52 5G (SM-A526B) in India. We can confirm that Samsung has started the firmware development for the smartphone, which means that the launch isn't far off. The upcoming smartphone could be priced around INR 5,000 (around $70) higher than the Galaxy A52 due to a better screen, a faster processor, and improved wireless connectivity.
The 6GB RAM variant of the Galaxy A52 is priced at INR 26,499 (around $365) in India, while the 8GB RAM variant is priced at INR 27,999 (around $385).
Galaxy A52 5G specs
The Galaxy A52 5G features a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-O display with Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and an in-display optical fingerprint reader. It has a 32MP selfie camera and a 64MP+12MP+5MP+5MP quad-camera setup at the rear. The phone runs Android 11 out of the box and comes equipped with the Snapdragon 750G processor.
The smartphone features 6GB/8GB RAM, 128GB/256GB internal storage, and a microSD card slot. However, we don't expect the company to bring the 256GB version of the phone to the Indian market. The phone also features an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance and stereo speakers. It is powered by a 4,500mAh battery and supports 25W fast charging.
