Samsung's firmware releases don't seem to slow down regardless of what other major events are keeping the company busy. CES came and went, and the tech giant is preparing to release the Galaxy S23 series next month, but despite the busy schedule, new updates keep rolling in at a steady pace. Samsung has now released a new firmware update for the Galaxy A52 5G.
The latest update rolling out for the Galaxy A52 5G introduces the January 2023 security patch. The package carries A526BXXU1DWA6 identification, and judging by the firmware version, the update may include other changes and addition besides the latest security patch for the month of January.
The January 2023 security update addresses numerous issues with Android OS. More than 50 “High” vulnerabilities are getting patched with the January release. The new security patch also fixes some vulnerabilities concerning Samsung Knox, Secure Folder, NFC, and more.
For the time being, the new update's availability appears to be limited to Australia, but other markets should follow suit. As usual, Galaxy A52 5G users can attempt to trigger the update from the Settings app on their phones by accessing “Software update” and tapping “Download and install.” You can also download official firmware files from our website if you prefer manual updates via a PC.
