Yesterday, Samsung released the June 2023 security update to a bunch of mid-range phones, including the Galaxy A52 5G. However, the update was limited to the unlocked variant meant for the US market. Now, the update is available to the global version of the Galaxy A52 5G.
Galaxy A52 5G getting May 2023 security update in Latin America
The latest software update for the Galaxy A52 5G comes with firmware version A526BXXS4EWD9. The update is available in Latin American countries, including Brazil, Colombia, and the Dominican Republic. Other countries around the world could get the new security update within the next few weeks. The update includes the June 2023 security patch that fixes over 60 security flaws found in Galaxy phones and tablets.
If you have a Galaxy A52 5G and if you live in any of the countries mentioned above, you can check for the new update. You can do that by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also choose to download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.
Samsung launched the Galaxy A52 5G two years ago with Android 11 onboard and a promise of three major Android OS updates. The phone received the Android 12 update in late 2021 and the Android 13 update in late 2022. It is expected to get the Android 14 update later this year.
