Just a week after making the jump to One UI 6.1, the Galaxy A52 5G is getting a new software update that brings the May 2024 security patch to the device.
The latest Galaxy A52 5G update brings the May 2024 security patch
The 5G variant of the Galaxy A52 was the first to get One UI 6.1, so it shouldn't be surprising that it is also the first to get the new security update. However, Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A52s owners probably won't have to wait too long before their phones are also updated with the latest security enhancements.
As this update comes soon after One UI 6.1, it doesn't include bug fixes or any other changes related to the new version of One UI. It only fixes security vulnerabilities that put Samsung Galaxy devices (and Android devices in general) at risk.
The update's rollout began in Europe, but we can expect it to reach other countries soon. To download it, go to your A52 5G's Settings » Software update menu and select the Download and install option. Alternatively, if you use a Windows PC, download Galaxy A52 5G firmware from our website and install it on the phone via a USB cable.
