After releasing the December 2021 security update to the Galaxy A50, Samsung has started rolling out its latest security patch to the Galaxy A52s 5G. The Galaxy A51, Galaxy A52, and the Galaxy A52 5G haven't received the update yet, but Samsung could release it soon.
The latest software update for the Galaxy A52s 5G comes with firmware version A528BXXS1AUL1. It is currently available only in New Zealand, but Samsung could release the update in more markets over the next few days. The December 2021 security patch fixes dozens of privacy and security-related vulnerabilities.
If you are a Galaxy A52s 5G in New Zealand, you might have received a notification of the update already. If you haven't received it yet, you can check for the update manually by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our database and flash it manually.
Samsung had launched the Galaxy A52s 5G in late August 2021 with Android 11-based One UI 3.1. It is eligible to get three major Android OS updates, including the Android 12 update that will be released in the first half of 2022.
