The Galaxy A52s and the Galaxy XCover 5 are now getting the latest security update from Samsung. The Galaxy A52s is getting the November 2023 security update in the Asian region, while the Galaxy XCover 5 is getting the same update in Latin American countries. The Galaxy A52, Galaxy A53, and Galaxy A54 have already started getting the new security update in some markets.
Galaxy A52s and Galaxy XCover 5 get more than 60 security fixes with November 2023 security update
The Galaxy A52s has started getting the update that comes with firmware version A528BZTS5EWK1, and it is available in Taiwan. The Galaxy XCover 5 is getting a new update in Argentina, Guatemala, and Mexico, and it has firmware version G525FXXS9CWJ4. Both these updates are quite small and include the November 2023 security patch. According to Samsung's documentation, they fix a total of 65 security flaws found in the previous software version.
If you have a Galaxy A52s in Taiwan or a Galaxy XCover 5 in Latin America, you can check for the new update on your phone. To do that, navigate to Settings » Software update and tap Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.
The Galaxy A52s was launched in 2021 with Android 11 onboard, and it received the Android 12 update by the end of that year. It also received the Android 13 update in late 2022. The Galaxy XCover 5 was launched in early 2021 with Android 11 pre-installed, and it received the Android 12 update later that year and the Android 13 update by the end of 2022. Both phones will get the feature-packed Android 14 update by the end of this year.
