Another Samsung mobile device released mere weeks ago is getting updated with the April 2022 security patch. If you guessed the Galaxy A53, then you're correct.
Samsung is now rolling out the April 2022 security patch through a new firmware update for the Galaxy A53 5G in South Korea and India.
In Samsung's home country, the Galaxy A53 update carries firmware version A536NKSU1AVCC. Meanwhile, Galaxy A53 customers in India can identify the update by version A536EXXU1AVCD.
The update features the April 2022 security patch, but the firmware versions indicate that other features and/or enhancements may have also been included. The changelog doesn't mention anything specific, but you should keep a lookout for additions.
As usual, the new firmware update is available only in select markets for the time being, but it should hit the waves in more regions soon. You can try to force the update on your phone from the Software update option inside the Settings app.
Alternatively, you can refer to our firmware page and download the new update for the Galaxy A53 in your region (where available).
The Galaxy A53 is fresh to the market, and it will receive many more updates from Samsung in the future, including four major Android OS upgrades.
