Samsung has started rolling out the May 2024 security update to the Galaxy A53 and Galaxy A54. The update is rolling out to the Galaxy A53 in Europe and several Asian countries. In other regions, the new security update could be released to these phones soon.
Galaxy A53 and Galaxy A54 get more secure with May 2024 security update
The latest software update for the Galaxy A53, which brings the May 2024 security patch, is now available in several European countries. The new update comes bearing firmware version A536BXXSAEXE1 and has a relatively smaller update size.
The new update for the Galaxy A54 is available in Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Ukraine, and Vietnam. It comes with firmware version A546EXXS8CXE2, which is just a security update. Don't expect to see any new features with these new updates.
If you have a Galaxy A53 in Europe or a Galaxy A54 in the Asian countries mentioned above, you can now check for the new update on your device. To do that, navigate to Settings » Software update » Download and install. You can also choose to download the new firmware file from our database and flash it manually.
This new security update includes fixes for 45 security vulnerabilities discovered in Samsung's phones over the past few months.
