Galaxy A53 5G April 2023 security update: What's new?
The latest software update for the carrier-locked version of the Galaxy A53 5G comes with firmware version A536USQS4CWC8. Right now, the update is available on Comcast's network in the US, and other carriers are expected to release the update on their networks within the next few days. The new software includes the April 2023 security patch that fixes over 60 security flaws found in Samsung phones and tablets, including the critical ones in Exynos chips. The update might also include general bug fixes and stability improvements.
If you have a carrier-locked version of the Galaxy A53 5G in the US, you can now download and install the new update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually if you have a Windows PC and the Odin software.
