Since the last few days, Samsung has been rapidly releasing the August 2024 security patch to eligible smartphones and tablets to offer it to as many devices as possible before the month ends. As a part of that effort, the company is now rolling out the latest security update to the Galaxy A53.
More specifically, Samsung has released the August 2024 security patch for the variant of the Galaxy A53 that it sells in its home country, South Korea. It has the model number SM-A536N. The brand should offer the latest security update to other variants of the phone or in other regions very soon.
The software update that brings the August 2024 security update to the Galaxy A53 changes the phone’s firmware version to A536NKSS6EXH1. The latest security update fixes 50 security issues.
Navigate to Settings » Software update » Download and install to get it on your phone. The alternative way is to download the new firmware and install it using Odin. You can find it in our database.

On a related note, Samsung is rolling out Google’s Circle to Search feature for the Galaxy A53’s successor, Galaxy A54 and Galaxy A55. Unfortunately, the Galaxy A53 isn’t eligible to get it.
