The latest Galaxy A53 5G software update comes with firmware version A536BXXU6CWE9 in several European countries. In Africa and Asia, the Galaxy A53 5G update comes with firmware version A536EXXU6CWE9. The update brings the June 2023 security patch that includes fixes for over 50 security flaws found in Galaxy smartphones and tablets. The update contains no new features or improvements to the phone's performance.
If you have a Galaxy A53 5G and live in any of the regions mentioned above, you can now check for the new update on your device. To do that, navigate to Settings » Software update and tap Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually using a Windows PC and the Odin tool.
Samsung launched the Galaxy A53 5G early last year with Android 12 onboard. The device received the Android 13 update in late 2022 and is expected to get the Android 14 update later this year. Samsung had promised to release a total of four major Android OS updates to the Galaxy A53 5G, which means it will get three more OS updates, including Android 14, Android 15, and Android 16.
