The Galaxy A53 has become the second mid-range Samsung phone to receive the May 2022 security patch. The Galaxy S series started getting the update two weeks ago, and since then, various high-end and some mid-range phones have received the update.
The latest software update for the Galaxy A53 comes with firmware version A536EXXU2AVD7. The update is currently available in the Philippines, but more markets are expected to get the update within the next few days. The May 2022 security patch included in this update fixes various privacy and security vulnerabilities. It might also include general bug fixes and improved stability.
If you are a Galaxy A53 user in the Philippines, you can download and install the latest software update now. You can do that by heading over to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our database and flash it manually.
Samsung had launched the Galaxy A53 earlier this year with Android 12 and One UI 4.1 on board. The South Korean firm has promised to release four major Android OS updates and five years of security updates to the Galaxy A53.
