Earlier today, Samsung released the October 2024 security update to the Galaxy A52. Now, the company has released the security update to the Galaxy A53 as well.
Galaxy A53 gets October 2024 security update in Europe
The Galaxy A53 is now getting a new software update. The update comes bearing firmware version A536BXXSCEXIA and brings the October 2024 security patch. This patch fixes over 40 security loopholes that were discovered in the previous software. The update doesn't bring any new features to the mid-range phone.
The update is now available in European countries and could soon be released in other regions worldwide. If you are a Galaxy A53 user and live in Europe, you can check for the new update on your device. You can do that by opening the Settings app, navigating to Software update, and tapping Download and install.
You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually using the Odin tool. However, you need to be well-versed with the manual firmware flashing tool. You should be careful and back up all your data.
Samsung launched the Galaxy A53 in early 2022 with Android 12 onboard. The phone received the Android 13 update in late 2022 and the Android 14 update in late 2023. The company was expected to release the Android 15 update to the Galaxy A53 before the end of this year, but it looks like the update has been delayed and will only arrive early next year.
You can check out One UI 7.0 and its new UI design and features in our hands-on video below. It brings a massive redesign, a two-page Quick Panel layout, improved animations and transitions, a new battery icon, a new charging animation, and a lot of new features.
