Samsung is rolling out the latest security update to the Galaxy A54. The April 2024 security update is available for the device in Europe, following a release in the US on Verizon's network a few days back.
The update can be identified by the build number A546BXXS7BXD1. You can wait for your phone to notify you that the update is available, or you can take matters into your hands and check manually by navigating to the phone's Settings » Software update menu and selecting Download and install. The latest firmware are also available in our firmware archives and can be used to update devices using a Windows PC.
Like other Galaxy devices that have yet to receive One UI 6.1, the Galaxy A54 is only getting the April security patch with the new update.. The April patch fixes nearly 30 vulnerabilities affecting the Android operating system and 17 vulnerabilities that pose a risk only to Galaxy smartphones and tablets.
As for One UI 6.1, there's no telling when it will arrive on the Galaxy A54 and other mid-range devices. Samsung has only announced One UI 6.1 release plans for 2023 and 2022 flagship smartphones and tablets at the time of writing, and with 2022 flagships scheduled to get the update in May, mid-range Galaxy phone and tablet owners could be waiting a while for the latest version of One UI.
