Samsung has started releasing the August 2023 security update to its mid-range smartphones. The Galaxy A54 5G has started getting the new security update in some Latin American countries, and we expect more mid-range and affordable smartphones to start getting the new update within a matter of days.
The new software update for the Galaxy A54 5G comes with firmware version A546EXXS4AWG4. The update has been released in Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, and Uruguay. Looking at the firmware version, it looks likely that the update doesn't bring any new features or performance upgrades. Instead, the update focuses on solving security flaws found in previous versions of Samsung's software. According to Samsung's security bulletin, the August 2023 security patch solves over 70 flaws related to device security.
