Carrier-locked Galaxy A54 gets September 2024 security update in the USA

A new security update is now available for the carrier-locked version of the Galaxy A54 in the USA. It comes with firmware version A546USQS8CXH7 and brings the September 2024 security patch that fixes 67 security vulnerabilities found in the previous software version. The update doesn’t bring any new features or performance improvements.

The update is now available on Comcast and Xfinity Mobile’s networks, and it will likely be released on other carriers soon. If you have a carrier-locked Galaxy A54 in the US, you can check for the new update on your phone by navigating to Settings » Software update and then tapping Download and install.

You can also choose to download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually. However, you need to be well-versed with the manual firmware flashing process if you want to choose that method.

Samsung launched the Galaxy A54 in early 2023 with Android 13 onboard. The mid-range phone received the Android 14 update in late 2023 and is expected to get the Android 15 (One UI 7.0) update later this year. Samsung has already started testing One UI 7.0 on the device.
