The Galaxy A54 debuted on March 15, bringing flagship-grade camera features. The highlight of the Galaxy A54's camera is the flagship ‘Nightography' feature. The smartphone recently went through the famous but not-so-reliable DxOMark camera test.
Notably, the Galaxy A54 was placed in the 84th position in the DxOMark global ranking and 9th in the high-end ranking. The folks at DxOMark tested the camera on the Galaxy A54 under different circumstances. Everything, including the photos, videos, and zoom quality, was tested from an end-user perspective. However, the DxOMARK score of the Galaxy A54 will surely disappoint you.
Samsung has packed good camera hardware on the Galaxy A54
But there is one thing we would like to highlight. It is that DxOMark scores need not be taken seriously because they placed the premium flagship from Samsung, the Galaxy S23 Ultra, in the 11th position. And going by the user feedback and our personal review, we can safely say that the cameras on the Galaxy S23 Ultra could make it the best camera smartphone of the year, even though we are just in the first quarter of 2023.
Coming back to the Galaxy A54 DxOMark test, it delivers good exposure and a wide dynamic range in both bright outdoor and indoor conditions. Even in landscape scenes, the phone excels and delivers some good-quality images. However, there were often some focus issues, especially with macro shots, moving elements, exposure instability, halo effects, ghosting, and more.
The Galaxy A54 bagged the 9th spot in the high-end category. The Nothing Phone 1, Oppo Reno8, and Xiaomi 12 Lite are in 6th, 7th, and 8th place, respectively. Irrespective of the DxOMark scores, you can rely on the Galaxy A54 for its camera capabilities. This is based on real-world user feedback and tests.
