The February 2024 update is making its way to the Galaxy A54, Samsung's premium mid-ranger that launched last year and will soon be succeeded by the Galaxy A55.
The update started rolling out in Europe this week and comes with firmware version A546BXXS6BXA8. Like February updates for other Samsung phones, the one released for the Galaxy A54 only brings security fixes.
Any new features or changes not related to device security will likely come with the One UI 6.1 update. One UI 6.1 is expected sometime in the first half of 2024, at least for Samsung's flagship phones, but when it will arrive on mid-range devices remains to be seen.
It also remains to be seen which One UI 6.1 features will be made available to Samsung's mid-range phones. Samsung is keeping AI features exclusive to flagship devices launched in 2023, so the One UI 6.1 update for mid-range phones probably won't be very exciting.
To download the latest update on your Galaxy A54, open the phone's Settings app, select Software update, then tap Download and install. Another way to do it is to download the latest firmware from our archive and use a Windows PC and Samsung's Odin tool to flash it on your phone over a USB-C cable.
