Prospective mid-range smartphone buyers looking for a better deal might be happy to learn that Samsung is throwing in a battery pack with its Galaxy A54 5G. The limited-time offer is available in the USA and applies to the factory-unlocked model in either Awesome Graphite or Awesome Violet colors, with or without a trade-in.

As of this writing, the Galaxy A54 5G costs the usual price of $449. However, Samsung is giving away the 25W 10,000mAh Battery Pack for free. When purchased separately, it costs $34.99.

And, yes, this is the battery pack that was making the rounds in leaked renders late last year, which is why the spec sheet claims compatibility with the Galaxy S23 series. But make no mistake. It's compatible with a variety of Samsung devices, from smartphones and tablets to wearables.

As for the Galaxy A54, it probably needs no introduction at this point, following our review. It's a fantastic device if you manage your expectations, as it does have some UI performance hiccups, especially compared to Samsung's flagship phones. However, battery life is already great even without the external battery pack, the build quality punches above its weight class, and the display looks fantastic. The speakers are decent, too.

If you want to buy the Galaxy A54 and get the free 10,000mAh battery pack, make sure to check Samsung's offer online. And if you're not in the USA, it doesn't hurt to check your local store and see if there's a similar offer on the mid-range phone.
