Samsung used to launch its new Galaxy A phones first every year and then proceeded to announce its new Galaxy S series phones. Over the past few years, though, the company has been doing the opposite. Samsung has already launched the Galaxy S24 and could announce this year's mid-range phones, the Galaxy A35 and the Galaxy A55, soon.

The design of the Galaxy A55 was leaked a few months ago, and its charging speed and Bluetooth version have now been revealed.

Galaxy A55 charging speed and Bluetooth version confirmed

The Galaxy A55 has appeared in the Bluetooth SIG and the TUV Rheinland certifications, revealing its Bluetooth version and its fast charging capability. According to the phone's Bluetooth certification and information spotted in its Bluetooth SIG database entry, the Galaxy A55 will have at least three variants with model numbers: SM-A556B, SM-A556E, and SM-A556E_DS. The SM-A556B could be launched in Europe, while the other variants could be launched in Asian countries. The phone features Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, which is the same as the one on the Galaxy A54 that was launched last year.

The phone was also spotted in the TUV Rheinland database with a battery that supports 9V and 2.55A charging, which means that the phone supports 25W fast charging. The same charging speed was listed in the phone's CCC certification that was spotted two months ago. So, it seems like Samsung isn't ready yet to bring faster charging to its mid-range phones. Even the base Galaxy S24 tops out at 25W fast charging.

Galaxy A55 leaked specifications and features

Several features and specifications of the Galaxy A55 have been leaked already. The phone will reportedly feature a 6.5-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x screen with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It will have a 32MP selfie camera rather than an upgraded 10MP selfie camera found on the Galaxy S23 FE. It is expected to feature a 50MP primary rear camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera, and a 5MP macro camera.

The phone appears to feature a metal frame, the first time in the history of Galaxy A series phones. Moreover, leaked images of the phone showcase the phone's Key Island design for the power and volume keys area. The phone features the Exynos 1480 processor with an AMD RDNA2-powered Xclipse 540 GPU. It could have 8GB RAM, 128GB/256GB storage, a microSD card slot, and a 5,000mAh battery. It will have an in-display fingerprint reader, IP67 rating, and stereo speakers.
