Galaxy A71 5G gets June 2023 security update

Samsung has released the June 2023 security update to the Galaxy A71 5G. Other higher-end Galaxy A series phones, including the Galaxy A52, Galaxy A53, and Galaxy A73, have already received the new security update. Right now, the update has started rolling out in Asia, and other regions could get access to the update soon.

The latest software update for the Galaxy A71 5G is getting updated with firmware version A716BXXU8FWE1. The new update is available in the UAE, and it brings the June 2023 security patch that fixes over 60 security flaws found in Galaxy phones and tablets. The update doesn't bring any new features to the Galaxy A71 5G.

Galaxy A71 5G June 2023 security update: How to install?

If you have a Galaxy A71 5G and live in the UAE, you can check for the new update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also choose to flash the firmware manually using a Windows PC and the Odin tool. However, you have to download the newest firmware file from our firmware database.

Samsung launched the Galaxy A71 5G in the first half of 2020 with Android 10 onboard. The phone received the Android 11 update in early 2021 and the Android 12 update in late 2021. The phone received its last major Android OS update—Android 13—in late 2022. It won't get Android OS updates anymore.
