September 2023 security update rolling out to Galaxy A71

Samsung has been swiftly rolling out the latest security update to its smartphones and tablets. After the Galaxy A52, Galaxy A72, and several high-end phones, the Galaxy A71 has started getting the September 2023 security update.

Galaxy A71 gets September 2023 security update in India

The new security update for the Galaxy A71 comes with firmware version A715FXXU8CVI3, and it is rolling out in India. The new update has a download size of around 485MB and brings the September 2023 security patch that fixes over 60 security flaws found in the previous software. It might also feature some bug fixes and reliability improvements.

If you have a Galaxy A71 and live in India, you can now check for the new update on your phone. To do that, navigate to Settings » Software update and tap Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually using a Windows PC and the Odin tool.

Samsung launched the Galaxy A71 in early 2020 with Android 10 onboard. It received the Android 11 update in early 2021, the Android 12 update in late 2021, and the Android 13 update in late 2022. It will not get the Android 14 update, though.
