Just two weeks after getting the May 2022 security update, the Galaxy A72 has started getting the June 2022 security update. The new software is now available in Malaysia, and we expect Samsung to roll it out to other countries within the next few days.
The latest software update for the Galaxy A72 comes with firmware version A725FXXU4BVE3. According to Samsung's report, its June 2022 security patch fixes over 66 vulnerabilities related to user privacy and data security. The update could also include general bug fixes and device stability improvements.
If you live in Malaysia and own a Galaxy A72, you can now download and install the latest software update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our database and flash it manually.
Last year, Samsung debuted the Galaxy A72 with Android 11-based One UI 3.0 out of the box. The phone received the Android 12-based One UI 4.0 update earlier this year and the One UI 4.1 update a few weeks ago. It will get two more Android OS updates in the future.
