Samsung has released the One UI 4.1 update to dozens of smartphones over the past few weeks. Now, the update is being expanded to the Galaxy A72. The new software update is currently rolling out in Russia, but we expect it to soon roll out in other countries.

The latest software update for the Galaxy A72 comes with firmware version A725FXXU4BVC1. It includes the March 2022 security patch that fixes over 50 privacy and security vulnerabilities. It might also include general bug fixes, device stability improvements, and better performance.

If you are a Galaxy A72 user in Russia, you can check for the latest OTA update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.

Samsung had launched the Galaxy A72 in early 2021 with Android 11-based One UI 3.1 software. It received the Android 12-based One UI 4.0 update a few months ago and has now received the One UI 4.1 update.

Galaxy A72 One UI 4.1 update features

The One UI 4.1 update brings improved Color Palette feature, more Samsung Keyboard layouts and options, and the ability to turn off GOS (Game Optimization Service). It also allows you to customize virtual memory capacity and sound balance. Smart Switch offers more customizable options, and SmartThings Find lets you share items with others to find them together.

The update also brings the ability to share Wi-Fi network credentials via Quick Share. It also allows you to share images and videos, complete with edit history. Samsung Health has improved too, and it now offers deeper health and fitness metrics, better sleep coaching, and tips to reach your health goals.

You can add emojis to calendar entries, choose apps where you want or don't want text correction via Samsung Keyboard, add GIFs from Tenor to your AR Emoji, and change background color in AR Emoji mask mode. You can share your screen via Google Duo Live Sharing or watch videos and photos together. Samsung Keyboard has received Grammarly-powered language corrections and suggestions.

The built-in Gallery app now supports adding portrait effects to any image with a person. You can even remove reflections and shadows from images. The app lets you change portrait lighting, share images and videos via a single link, and convert motion photos into still images. It can also create 24-hour time-lapse videos from some scenic pictures.
