Over the past few weeks, information about several Galaxy A series smartphones has leaked online. Unfortunately, the Galaxy A75 5G isn't among them. Most of its hardware remains shrouded by mystery, but we know that it won't pack a 3.5mm audio jack based on leaked renders. Now, the smartphone has shown up on the U.S. FCC website.
The Galaxy A73 5G's fast charging prowess is nothing to write home about
The Galaxy A73 5G, much like many Galaxy A and Galaxy M devices, will cap its fast charging wattage to 25W. FCC listings (via MySmartPrice) are notorious for not revealing any specs of a listed device, but it does tell us that the Galaxy A73 5G's model number is SM-A736B. Wireless connectivity options on the smartphone include Wi-Fi 6, NFC and an unspecified version of Bluetooth.
Previous leaks told us that the Galaxy A73 5G, much like its predecessor, would pack a high-refresh-rate AMOLED panel. However, Samsung is rumoured to cheap out on this component and use one made by competitor BOE Display instead of using its in-house offering. Its exact refresh rate is unknown, but we're probably looking at 120Hz.
That being said, the Galaxy A73 5G is slated to bring significant improvements to the camera department. It is rumoured to be the first Galaxy A series smartphone to pack a 108MP camera sensor with OIS (optical image stabilization). It is slated to run a Snapdragon 750 5G SoC, but Samsung could very well replace it with an Exynos-branded one, complete with an AMD RDNA2 GPU.
