The Galaxy A73 has started receiving the August 2024 security update. Several Galaxy A series smartphones have already received the new security update from Samsung, and the remaining ones will receive it in the next few days.
Galaxy A73 gets August 2024 security update in Asia
The new security update for the Galaxy A73 is currently available in Malaysia. The update comes bearing firmware version A736BXXS9EXH2, bringing the August 2024 security patch to the device. According to Samsung's security bulletin, the new security patch fixes close to 50 security vulnerabilities found in the previous software version.
Other Asian countries could soon start receiving the new update. If you have a Galaxy A73 and live in Malaysia, you can check for the new update on your device by navigating to Settings, selecting Software update, and tapping Download and install.
You can also install the new update using the manual firmware flashing process. Download the appropriate firmware file from our database and flash it manually using the Odin tool. We suggest saving all your important data from the phone before using the manual flashing process.
The Galaxy A73 was launched in early 2022 with Android 12 onboard. The phone received the Android 13 update in late 2022 and the Android 14 update in late 2023. It will get the Android 15 (One UI 7.0) update later this year.
