Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy Book 3 Pro, its third-generation professional-grade high-end laptop, at the Galaxy Unpacked 2023 event. At the same event, the company also unveiled the Galaxy S23 series and other laptops in the Galaxy Book 3 lineup.
The Galaxy Book 3 Pro is an incremental upgrade over the Galaxy Book 2 Pro as it only brings a smoother display and faster performance. You can find its pricing and availability information about the Galaxy Book 3 Pro here. The laptop can be pre-ordered from Samsung, and it will start reaching buyers from February 17, 2023.
Galaxy Book 3 comes in two sizes and has a 13th Gen Intel processor
The Galaxy Book 3 Pro comes in two screen size variants: 14-inch and 16-inch. These are slightly bigger screens compared to the Galaxy Book 2 Pro's 13.3-inch and 15.6-inch models and feature a 16:10 aspect ratio rather than 16:9.
Both variants feature a Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 48Hz-120Hz variable refresh rate, up to 400 nits brightness, and 2,880 x 1,800 pixels resolution. Samsung claims these displays can cover up to 120% of the DCI-P3 color volume. A higher refresh rate should offer smoother visuals and animations.
Both Galaxy Book 3 Pro variants feature 13th Gen. Intel Core i5/i7 processor, Intel Iris Xe integrated GPU, 8GB/16GB/32GB LPDDR5 RAM, and 256GB/512GB/1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD.
The Galaxy Book 3 Pro features a Full HD 1080p webcam, an AKG-tuned quad-speaker setup (two 2W tweeters + two 5W woofers), a large trackpad, a fingerprint reader, two Thunderbolt 4 (USB Type-C) ports, a USB 3.2 Type-A port, an HDMI 1.4 port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. They also feature two far-field microphones.
The 14-inch version of the Galaxy Book 3 Pro has a tenkeyless keyboard layout, while the 16-inch version has a full-sized keyboard. Both variants have a backlit keyboard. The 14-inch Galaxy Book 3 Pro is powered by a 63Wh battery, while the 16-inch version is supported by a 76Wh battery. Both laptops can be charged through their Thunderbolt 4 ports using Samsung's bundled 65W USB Type-C PD charger.
The Galaxy Book 3 Pro comes in Beige and Graphite colors. The 14-inch version of the Galaxy Book 3 Pro is 11.3mm thin and weighs just 1.17kg. The 16-inch version of the laptop measures 12.5mm thin and weighs 1.56kg.
