Samsung unveiled its first ‘Ultra' branded Galaxy Book laptop earlier this month. The Galaxy Book 3 Ultra is Samsung's most powerful and ambitious laptop ever, featuring a 16-inch 3K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, an Intel Core i9 CPU, and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 GPU. We got our hands on the laptop and reviewed it to show you how it performs.
We've now published our full Galaxy Book 3 Ultra review on our YouTube channel, and you can watch it below.

Despite being quite slim, the Galaxy Book 3 Ultra feels solid, thanks to its metal body and tight hinge. There's very little flex towards the top of the keyboard, and you can carry it without many issues in most medium-sized backpacks. There's a decent selection of ports, including an HDMI 2.0 port, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A port, a headphone jack, and a microSD card slot. However, considering its high price point, we would've liked to see a full-sized high-speed SD card slot and an HDMI 2.1 port.
Samsung has impressed us with its 16-inch OLED screen with 3K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It's bright, fluid, color-accurate, and has perfect blacks. It supports HDR, too. Its performance is top-notch, too. The backlit keyboard and trackpad are great, but we would've liked to see a tenkeyless keyboard layout and a centered trackpad. The speakers are pretty good, and so are the microphones. The webcam is good, too.
Coming to the performance, the Galaxy Book 3 Ultra performs really well. But it's not meant to be an out-and-out gaming laptop with Odyssey branding. Yes, you can play AAA gaming titles at high frame rates, but it will not perform as well as other similarly-specced dedicated gaming laptops as they use GPUs with a higher wattage and have beefier cooling systems.
On top of Windows 11, there are a lot of additional software features that make it work well with Galaxy smartphones, tablets, and wireless earbuds. The 76Whr battery lasts around 8 hours with day-to-day tasks, but it can get fully depleted in 2-3 hours with heavy gaming. It charges via a 100W USB Type-C charger.
