It's been a while since Samsung launched a pair of wireless earbuds. The company is going to rectify that on August 10 at its Unpacked event. We've known for a while now that the company is going to launch the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro alongside its latest smartphones.
There have already been a few leaks that have provided information about the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro. Active Noise Cancellation is now a permanent fixture on Samsung's wireless earbuds. A new leak also shows that these earbuds will also offer exceptional sound quality.
Galaxy Buds 2 Pro will offer a great listening experience
Samsung is reportedly improving the noise cancellation functionality as well. The Galaxy Buds 2 Pro are said to feature Intelligent Active Noise Cancellation which can prevent even the loudest ambient noise from ruining your listening experience.
These earbuds can reportedly offer a significant 33dB reduction in ambient noise when the feature is active. The Galaxy Buds 2 Pro will deliver studio-quality sound with additional enhancements such as 360-degree audio and HD Voice.
An earlier report suggested that the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro will come with 10mm drivers. It's now claimed that these drivers will be paired with a 5.3mm tweeter speaker in each earbud for high tones. We can thus expect that the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro will deliver an audio experience unmatched by any of Samsung's existing earbuds.
The earbuds will retain the IPX7 water resistance rating in addition to offering enhanced battery life. Charging improvements will also allow for up to 55 minutes of listening time after just five minutes of charging.
The Galaxy Buds 2 Pro is expected to cost €229 at launch. That's the same price that Samsung charged for the Galaxy Buds Pro. Hopefully, this price point will be retained, even as Samsung looks certain to increase prices for several of its upcoming products.
