Galaxy Buds On leak ahead of launch

Over the past few months, reports have revealed that Samsung is working on two distinct types of wireless earbuds. We previously shared the basic design of these upcoming Galaxy Buds. Now, a more realistic render of one of them—Galaxy Buds On—has emerged.

The Galaxy Buds On are expected to be Samsung's first open-ear, loop-style wireless earbuds. They will reportedly launch in Black and White, with the black variant spotted via SammyGuru and tipster ThatJoshGuy (@thatjoshguy69). The design loops around the outer ear—a form factor often preferred by users who dislike the pressure of traditional in-ear silicone tips.

According to the leak, the earbuds feature pogo pin connectors for charging and a flat outer surface for touch controls. The speaker section resting against the ear opening adopts a rounded, ergonomic shape.

Code strings in the Galaxy Wearable app further indicate that the Galaxy Buds On will support the head gestures first introduced on the Galaxy Buds 4 series. While they reportedly include utility features like Auto Volume and Volume Boost, they appear to lack 360 Audio. Additionally, both Bixby and Google Gemini support seem to be on board.

The Galaxy Buds On may also introduce gesture-triggered voice memos, which can then be summarized using Galaxy AI—ideal for quickly jotting down thoughts or capturing meeting notes. Finally, the earbuds will reportedly pause playback automatically when they detect that you have fallen asleep.
