Samsung has unveiled its first clip-on style wireless earbuds, the Galaxy Buds On. They are designed with a comfortable fit and safety for outdoor activities as top priorities. Because they do not block the ear canal, they are comfortable to wear for extended periods.

The Galaxy Buds On feature an ergonomic design to distribute pressure evenly across the ears, offering a secure fit even during workouts or other high-movement activities. Samsung claims it analyzed extensive data on various ear shapes and conducted simulations to optimize the placement of the speakers and batteries.

The earbuds are powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon S7 Gen 1 Sound Platform, enabling them to offer up to 9.5 hours of battery life on a single charge.

To overcome the limitations of an open-ear design, Samsung implemented TwinBoost speakers, which enhance low-frequency sounds. The earbuds also feature automatic volume control to adjust audio levels based on the user's environment. Music and call controls are just a touch away on the back of the device.

Even in quiet environments like a library, Samsung's Audio Leakage Reduction technology prevents sound from escaping, ensuring people nearby cannot hear what is playing.

Using three microphones, a bone-conduction-based Voice Pickup Sensor, and Intelligent Clear Call, the Galaxy Buds On deliver high-quality audio during calls by isolating the user's voice from background noise.

The Galaxy Buds On also feature Gemini Live. You can simply say, “Hey Google, let’s talk live,” to start a conversation with Google's powerful AI voice assistant. You can instantly take voice memos by long-pressing the touch area. Afterward, you can use Bixby to search through these memos, making it an excellent tool for storing ideas.

You can also use Head Gestures to answer or end calls, dismiss alarms, or check notifications on your phone.

Pricing and availability

The Galaxy Buds On will be available in South Korea starting October 27, 2026. They are priced at KRW 299,000 (approximately $220) and will launch in other countries in phases following their South Korean debut.
