Samsung has silently launched two new entry-level (by this year's standards) smartphones: Galaxy F08 and Galaxy M08. They both feature a more durable design, a slightly newer processor, and a bigger battery than their predecessors.
The Galaxy F08 and the Galaxy M08 are essentially the same phone as the Galaxy A08, but designed for two different retail channels in India. The Galaxy F08 will be available through Flipkart, while the Galaxy M08 will likely be sold through Amazon.
While the company hasn't revealed their prices yet, they are expected to go on sale for INR 16,999 (~$177).
Both phones have a 6.7-inch LCD screen with HD+ resolution (1,600 x 720 pixels) and a 90Hz refresh rate. They have a 50MP primary rear camera with an F1.8 aperture, a 2MP depth sensor, and an 8MP front-facing camera. The front and rear cameras can record 1080p 30fps videos.

They are powered by the MediaTek Helio G99+ processor. Compared to the Helio G99 chip that powered last year's Galaxy F07 and Galaxy M07, the new chip suppors faster RAM (LPDDR5X) and supports up to a 120Hz refresh rate. Both new phones have 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, and a microSD card slot.
The Galaxy F08 and the Galaxy M08 run Android 17 (One UI 9.0) out of the box. Impressively, both phones will get six major Android OS updates (up to Android 23) and security patches for up to six years.
