Samsung is preparing itself to launch two more affordable phones in India. They are the Galaxy F15 5G and the Galaxy M15 5G. Both these upcoming phones are slightly modified versions of the Galaxy A15 5G that was launched in India a few weeks ago. The company has now started teasing the launch of the Galaxy F15 5G.
Galaxy F15 5G launch date revealed
The Galaxy F15 5G has appeared on Indian online store Flipkart's website. The teaser webpage reveals the Galaxy F15 5G's design, battery, fast charging, display, processor, and cameras. The phone will launch on the 4th of March 2024 at 12 PM. It has a Super AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution and a waterdrop-shaped notch for the front-facing camera. The device appears to be available in at least two colors: Lavender and Mint.
Galaxy F15 5G will get four Android OS updates
From the teaser webpage, it has been confirmed that the Galaxy F15 5G is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ processor, which is made using TSMC's 6nm process and has two high-performance Cortex-A76 CPU cores and six power-efficient Cortex-A55 CPU cores. The chipset has the Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. The phone might be available with 4GB/6GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage. It also has a microSD card slot. The phone will come with Android 14 out of the box and get four major Android OS updates. It will also get security updates for five years from its launch.
The Galaxy F15 5G is powered by a 6,000mAh battery and supports 25W fast charging. It has three rear-facing cameras, and rumors point toward a 50MP primary rear camera, a 5MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. Samsung may launch the Galaxy M15 5G in India with similar specifications, but it could be exclusive to Amazon India's website. Expect the Galaxy F15 5G and the Galaxy M15 5G to be priced lower than the Galaxy A15 5G, which retails for INR 17,999 ($217) in India.
The phone will likely get the One UI 6.1 update a few weeks after the launch, and you can watch all the new features and design changes that it brings in our video below.
