Samsung has surprised everyone by reportedly releasing the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 beta update for the Galaxy F23 5G. This is the first time the South Korean firm has released a One UI beta update for such an affordable smartphone. No other Galaxy A, Galaxy F, or Galaxy M series phone with such a low price tag has ever received a One UI beta update.
The Android 14-based One UI 6.0 beta update for the Galaxy F23 comes bearing firmware version E236BXXU4ZWJ2 (via @SamsungSWUpdate). It is nearly a 2.6GB update, so it is better to download it via a Wi-Fi network. It looks like the One UI 6.0 beta update is available for the Galaxy F23 in India since the phone is exclusive to Flipkart. The update also brings the October 2023 security patch to the mid-range smartphone.
If you want to beta-test One UI 6.0 on your Galaxy F23, you need to download and install the Samsung Members app. After opening the app, sign in using your Samsung account that you're already using on your phone. Then, click on the One UI 6.0 Beta Program banner on the app's home page and register your phone. Once the registration is done, navigate to Settings » Software update and tap Download and install to download the update.
Author's Note: The Galaxy F23 was launched in early 2022 with Android 12 onboard. It received the Android 13 update in late 2022. It is great to see that Samsung is already testing the One UI 6.0 update on the device, which means we can expect it to get the stable Android 14 update in a couple of months.
