Samsung is expected to launch a new mid-range smartphone, the Galaxy F54 5G, later this month. Months ahead of the launch, its specifications were leaked. It is a slightly tweaked version of the Galaxy A54 and will be launched in India first. Ahead of its launch, its images have leaked.
Indian publication 91Mobiles has published the first set of official press renders of the Galaxy F54 5G. Unsurprisingly, the upcoming mid-range smartphone looks a lot like the Galaxy A54 5G and many other Samsung smartphones launched this year, thanks to its familiar design featuring three rear-facing cameras with individual camera rings.
Galaxy F54 leaked images reveal its design and colors
The Galaxy F54 5G will be available in two colors: Dark Blue and Silver. The phone will reportedly be considerably cheaper than the Galaxy A54 5G by cutting down on some premium features like an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance. Going by previous leaks, the Galaxy F54 has a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Full HD+ resolution. Going by the images, it has a side-mounted fingerprint reader rather than an in-display one found on the Galaxy A54.
The upcoming mid-range phone has three rear-facing cameras: 108MP OIS primary camera with 4K 30fps video recording, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. On the front, it has a 32MP selfie camera with 4K 30fps video recording. It is equipped with the Exynos 1380 processor, 8GB RAM, 128GB/256GB storage, and a 6,000mAh battery.
The phone has GPS, a dual-SIM card slot, 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. It has 25W fast charging and stereo speakers as well. It will come preloaded with Android 13-based One UI 5.1 and could get three major Android OS updates. It could be priced below INR 35,000 (around $340).
