After releasing the One UI 6.1 update to Galaxy S and Galaxy Z series devices, Samsung appears to have turned its attention to Galaxy A and Galaxy F series phones. The Galaxy F54 has become the first Galaxy F series device to get updated to the latest version of One UI.
The new update is rolling out in India right now.
Galaxy F54 gets One UI 6.1 update in India
Samsung has released the One UI 6.1 update to the Galaxy F54 in India. It comes bearing firmware version E546BXXU4CXDC and has a download size of around 2GB, so we advise you to download it on a Wi-Fi network. The update also brings the newer security patch (April 2024) for improved privacy and security.
To update your Galaxy F54 to One UI 6.1, open the Settings app, navigate to Software update, and tap Download and install. Once the new firmware is available in our firmware database, you can download it and flash it manually using a computer running Windows OS and the Odin tool.
What's new with One UI 6.1 update for Galaxy F54?
The One UI 6.1 update improves image and video editing, provides better search inside the Gallery app, and improves alarm and reminder alert customization. It also lets you add portrait effects to the wallpaper and edit icons for categories in the Reminders app. With this new version of One UI, you can copy an object from one image and paste it into another using the clipboard. Image clipping is now more accurate.
You can export video editing project files to other Galaxy devices and continue video editing there. During video editing, you can change the video playback speed of the entire video or its certain parts.
There are more conditions for Routines. You can turn off/on Modes from the home screen and even reorder Modes. The update brings the Quick Share feature and allows you to use the Samsung Find app to track lost/stolen items and share your location with family and friends.

Your data in Samsung Cloud is now protected with end-to-end encryption. You can also use the Samsung Wallet app to create and store passkeys for easier and more secure sign-in. Quick setting toggles make it easier to access microphone modes and video effects during calls.
Samsung Health lets you compete with your past records, choose other daily activity targets, and add physical symptoms and moods for female health tracking.
You can open all minimized apps simultaneously, see more data in the Weather widget, and find search results from Google in the Finder screen. Samsung is also offering more battery health protection features with One UI 6.1. You can input text using voice dictation without hiding the Samsung Keyboard.
