Samsung has announced the Galaxy Fit 3 today. It is an affordable fitness tracking band that succeeds the Galaxy Fit 2, which was launched in 2020. The Galaxy Fit 3 brings several improvements in design and feature set. It features a 45% bigger screen, more health-tracking features, and more emergency features.
Let us have a look at all its features.
Galaxy Fit 3 has 13-day battery life and a full-color touchscreen
The Galaxy Fit 3 features a 1.57-inch full-color OLED screen, allowing more information to be viewed at a glance. It also features an aluminum body with IP68 and 5ATM ratings for dust and water resistance. Its silicone band has a one-click detaching mechanism, making it easier to swap wristbands. The Galaxy Fit 3 has an accelerometer, gyro, and a heart-rate monitor, allowing you to track your activities, fitness, sleep, stress levels, and workouts. All of that data is then synced with Samsung Health via a paired smartphone. Sadly, it doesn't feature GPS for smartphone-free workout tracking.
Moreover, you can customize the Galaxy Fit 3 with over 100 watch faces via the Galaxy Wearable app. You can use the Galaxy Fit 3 as a remote shutter for your smartphone's camera or control media playback on a paired phone. Additionally, you can use the device to find your misplaced smartphone. It also features Emergency SOS and Fall Detection features, allowing you to contact your family or emergency contacts in such situations. It lacks a microphone and loudspeaker, so you can't use it to answer calls.
It can display notifications from your paired smartphone. Additional features include syncing of Modes with your Galaxy smartphone. For example, you can sync Do Not Disturb or Sleep mode on your phone with the Galaxy Fit 3. Samsung claims that the Galaxy Fit 3 can last up to 13 days on a single charge. While it doesn't run Wear OS, it has mini apps, including Calendar, Weather, and World Clock, that can come in handy.
Galaxy Fit 3 availability and release date
It comes in Gray, Pink Gold, and Silver colors. The Galaxy Fit 3 will be available in Asia, Central America, Europe, and South America from the 23rd of February 2024. It will be launched in South Korea in the future. While Samsung hasn't announced its pricing yet, we expect that information to be revealed in a few days.
If you want a fitness-tracking device that is more feature-rich and has GPS, you should consider the Galaxy Watch 6. You can watch its full review in our video below.
