Samsung has quietly launched the Galaxy Fit 3 in India, and the device is available for purchase starting today. Earlier this week, the new fitness tracking band was unveiled, and the company announced that the wearable device would be launched in several markets on February 26. However, the device seems to have gone on sale earlier than that date.
Galaxy Fit 3 launches in India with an affordable price tag
The Galaxy Fit 3 is priced at INR 4,999 ($60) in India, offering fitness tracking at an affordable price. It is great for someone who doesn't want to spend a lot and get a full-fledged smartwatch like the Galaxy Watch 4. The Galaxy Fit 3 is available in Gray, Pink Gold, and Silver colors through Samsung's online store and other authorized offline and online retailers across India. Samsung is also offering a discount of INR 500 ($6) through multiple bank cards.
Aditya Babbar, Senior Director of Samsung MX in India, said, “In this new era of wellness, users desire a more comprehensive understanding of their health and Samsung has committed to providing users with advanced health monitoring tools to help them along their wellness journey. As our newest fitness tracker, the Galaxy Fit3 underscores our commitment to providing accessible resources that encourage everyday wellness and inspire everyone to work on their best self.”
Galaxy Fit 3 features and specs
Samsung has introduced many improvements with the Galaxy Fit 3 compared to the Galaxy Fit 2 launched in 2020. The new wearable device has a 45% bigger OLED touchscreen at 1.6 inches diagonally. The device has an aluminum body that is rated 5ATM and IP68 for dust and water resistance. Its silicone band has a one-click release mechanism, allowing you to easily switch between your favorite watch band colors.
It has an accelerometer, gyro, and a heart-rate monitor. It lacks a built-in GPS, so if you want to track runs, ride a cycle, or do other outdoor workouts, you would need to carry along a smartphone. It can track 100 types of workouts and sync body vitals (heart rate, SpO2, and calories burned) with the Samsung Health app on a paired smartphone. The Galaxy Fit 3 can also track your sleep length and quality. It suggests positive changes in the lifestyle to improve fitness, health, and wellness levels. Samsung says that the Galaxy Fit 3 can last up to 13 days on a full battery charge.
Moreover, it can display notifications from a paired smartphone. It can also control camera and media playback on a smartphone to which it is paired. It can also sync Modes (Do Not Disturb, Sleep, or others) with the paired phone. It can also be used to help find a misplaced smartphone in the local Bluetooth range. It also has Emergency SOS and Fall Detection features, so you can quickly contact your emergency contacts when you are in a scary situation.
