Samsung's first foldable smartphone is slowly making its way to more markets across the globe. We have seen it being released in South Korea and the United States so far in addition to markets across Europe. Samsung has also released the device in India.

The Galaxy Fold will soon be released in several other markets across the globe. Japan happens to be one of them. Samsung's carrier partner for this device has confirmed when it will be releasing the foldable smartphone.

Galaxy Fold is being released in Japan this month

Japanese carrier au will be carrying the 4G variant of the Galaxy Fold. It has listed the device on its website with a notice that the handset is scheduled to be released on October 25. The pricing information has not yet been revealed. We imagine it will be disclosed closer to launch.

It will obviously be around the $2,000 mark. The carrier may offer its own price incentives or deals for the launch so customers may want to look out for that. It doesn't seem likely for now that other carriers may also offer this device in Japan.

Samsung has been making the Galaxy Fold available in limited quantities across the globe. It has seen considerable demand for the device so far. Some of the other countries where it's soon to launch the Galaxy Fold include Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Mexico, Thailand, Spain and Australia.

Are you looking forward to the Galaxy Fold's launch in your country?

Thanks, J.ito!
