After releasing the November 2022 security update to the Galaxy Z Flip 3, Galaxy Z Flip 4, Galaxy Z Fold 3, and the Galaxy Z Fold 4, Samsung has released the update to its first two generations of Galaxy Z Fold series devices. The update is rolling out in some European markets and is expected to be released in other regions soon.
The latest software updates for the Galaxy Fold and the Galaxy Z Fold 2 come with firmware versions F900FXXU6HVJ7 France and F916BXXS2HVK1, respectively. The Galaxy Fold is getting the update in France, while the Galaxy Z Fold 2 is getting the update across Europe. The new updates bring the November 2022 security update that fixes close to four dozen security vulnerabilities in Galaxy devices. The updates could also bring general bug fixes and stability improvements.
If you are a Galaxy Fold or Galaxy Z Fold 2 user in Europe, you should soon be able to install the new update on your device. You can download the latest software update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our database and flash it manually.
Samsung debuted the Galaxy Fold with Android 9 Pie onboard, and the foldable phone received Android 10, Android 11, and Android 12 updates. It will not get the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update. The Galaxy Z Fold 2 was launched with Android 10 onboard and has already received Android 11, Android 12, and Android 12L updates. It will get the Android 13 update later this month or early next month.
