Samsung has already released the March 2022 security update to various high-end and mid-range smartphones. Now, the company has started rolling out the new security update to two more Galaxy M series smartphones: Galaxy M21 and Galaxy M51.
The latest software update for the Galaxy M21 is rolling out in India and Sri Lanka with firmware version M215FXXS2BVB7. The Galaxy M51 is getting the new security update in various South American countries with firmware version M515FXXS4CVC1. The March 2022 security patch included in the latest updates fixes more than 50 privacy and security vulnerabilities.
If you are a Galaxy M21 or Galaxy M51 user in the countries specified above, you can check for the new OTA update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our database and flash it manually.
Samsung had launched the Galaxy M21 and the Galaxy M51 in mid-2020 with Android 10-based One UI 2. Both smartphones received the Android 11-based One UI 3.1 update in mid-2021. The phones are expected to get the Android 12-based One UI 4.1 update within the next few months.
